NAPPR Staff Profile: Sadie, Family Support Specialist, Early Intervention Program

STAFF SPOTLIGHT...MEET SADIE

Sadie, aka "Girt," is an Early Intervention Specialist. Girt, who has a Master’s in Multicultural Special Education, has more than 14 years of providing home-based, family-centered Early Intervention services, aiding families with young children who have developmental delays, such as loss of hearing or sight or delays in speech or movement.

On her spare time, Girt likes to attend concerts, watch NFL with her husband or read the newspaper to her dog, Max. Her favorite indulgence is fresh warm oven bread with butter. Her favorite places to travel are to Las Vegas and the Black Hills of South Dakota.

What she appreciates most about NAPPR is her colleagues' work ethic, the organizational values and her colleagues' support, especially from Amy, NAPPR's Early Intervention director, and Liz, the Clinical Supervisor. "Our passion for our families is matched by the support for each other," she says. "We have a lot of fun together as well."
