
In March 2010, NAPPR as one of five New Mexico communities to join "Strong Starts for Children", a new Everyday Democracy initiative that helps communities find ways for people from all walks of life to work together for the success of all children. Over the course of the 18-month program, Everyday Democracy will be working closely with NAPPR and the other communities selected to find ways got people to talk, work, and take action together on early childhood development issues. Participants will work together to bring about successes on issues such as school readiness, linked systems for health and education, access to development and job training, financial literacy, and educational opportunities for families.
